Uganda Considering Death Penalty For Gays

New legislation in Uganda is proposing stricter rules on homosexuals in the country. A new law is under consideration that would enforce the death penalty for gays and imprisonment for their friends.

Family and friends of gays that fail to report them could face up to 7 years in jail and landlords could face jail time for renting to them as well.

According to the Associated Press, gay rights activists are outraged and believe the bill promotes hatred and could set back efforts to combat HIV/AIDS. They believe that the bill is part of a continent wide backlash because Africa's gay community is becoming more vocal.

Consideration for the new law was sparked after conservative U.S. Christian ministries that promote therapy for gays to become heterosexual visited the country. At least one of the members of the group has condemned the bill as well as other religious leaders in the U.S.

I'm honestly speechless, I would hope going in to 2010 that the world would stop this hatred. It is so scary and disgusting to think that there are people who really believe and think this way.

Don't know how to recycle?

I found this site, for us Torontonians when we have stuff to throw out and which stuff goes in which bin.

all you gotta do is type in the object you wanna throw out, for example: Hard Cover Book
and it will tell you: "It goes in the blue recycling bin blah blah blah"
or type in: Plastic Toys and it will tell you, put it in this one.

Cleaning out my room

So I've spent the last few days REALLY cleaning out my room, like throwing out all kinds of things I don't use or don't need or is just taking up space. Magazines, Pictures, Notebooks, Journals, School Work, Old Clothes... etc...
I found this binder of a portfolio I did, I believe it was for a business class and just like everything else I found that was school work, I did REALLY good!

I feel like I really fell a part when it has come to school, Especially high school and now that I'm really trying to go back, all these emotions from my past from all the years I went to school are coming back.

I just feel like I always had the potential to do extremely well, I just had very low self esteem, I was lazy, I just didn't care to try and just things at home weren't always well which caused me not to concentrate...

but anyways back to the point, looking at some of my old work has just made me realize I do have potential and that I can do really well when I do go back to school and when I work really hard I can achieve anything, I just gotta wanna work REALLY HARD.

Last night I had a dream the world was ending

and it started that they were trying to pick out the smart & beautiful people to re create human society. So I wasn't on that list but this girl named Anna L? who I don't know in real life but for some reason I knew her in my dream. I pretended to be her so I could go back to safety. Also safey was in Canada. They were gonna put posionous gas clouds in the sky and kill off everyone slowly.
